1. Auctions sales statistics

November 7 – 13, 2022
Salvage vehicles sales of 52,730 units for the second week of November represented a decrease of 12,6% (7,615 cars) from last week.
Cars volume represented a decrease of 7,5%.There were 13,919 less cars at LIVE auctions this week. Average approval dropped 1.8%.
Declines continued to be large this week. Less cars, less sales, less approval. It is too early in the game to make predictions, it might be seasonal slowdown or the start of the recession.
Though, an year ago there were just 82,000 cars for sale, which is 1/2 of the current volume.

BMW 3-series been researched 324 times this week, followed by Toyota Camry (282 searches) and BMW 5-series (281), meaning our users are fond of these makes and models and looking to buy it at the auctions.

Geico Insurance was the leader in sales this week. 11,348 cars sold.State Farm insurance followed with 4,406 cars sold. Geico sells cars at the highest bid, so consider this seller next time bidding.
Dealers at Copart did not even make it to the list! They sold 1,305 vehicles. 63% less than last week!
Good job everyone identifying staged cars and not getting into the trap!
